Talk to the Hand.

It has become a popular mantra in modern communication hasn’t it? In terms of dog training, it has been a form of communication in proper interaction for many years now. The way I train your new best friend is with my hand as much as my voice. As a top Las Vegas Valley Dog Trainer you will see that for yourself.

When your dog learns to associate hand signals that correspond to your auditory commands the rest follows. Commands such as palm up, finger pointed to my eye, finger pointed down, open hand, hand placed diagonally across my chest, etc. They all have meaning when accompanied by the proper commands.

You and your best friend will learn quickly and I will leave you with lessons that will last for the lifetime of your dog. My name is Dennis Danskin, Las Vegas dog trainer for five decades. You can count on me to make these next dozen years some of the most enjoyable of your life. Please visit my website at trainhumane.net and call me at (702) 327-4744.

Now for the Positives About Holiday Adoption.

Earlier, I addressed the several reasons why you might want to wait into the New Year to adopt a new best friend. Now, the opposite of that…adopting a puppy as a gift right now to put a huge smile on the face(s) of your children. You will suddenly become the greatest mom or dad in the history of parenthood!

Here are some other reasons to adopt NOW –

1.  With everyone home there is extra time to interact with your new puppy.

2.  You just rescued a life and made a space for someone else’s new best friend.

3.  A study showed that 86% of pets adopted during the holidays remain at home.

Now, for the training. Oh yes, your new puppy does not come with an instruction manual. I am a phone call away, and if you are comfortable, I will train your new addition in the familiar surroundings of your own home. Please visit my website at trainhumane.net to see my methodology and call me for a complimentary in-home visit at (702) 327-4744.

Dog Training…Humane or Alpha Dog.

Think of it in terms of child rearing. Many parents raise their children through intimidation…especially in the past. How does that work out? Well, in many cases a young person has been raised in an atmosphere of fear and may well display those traits in later life when dealing with other people.

Here is my truth from five plus decades of experience in the Las Vegas area. Dogs learn good behavior by being praised for doing well. And punishment does NOT have to come in the form of a harsh reprimand or physical force! I guess there are different opinions, but that has been tried and true for me over the years.

Here is a suggestion. Why not give me a call and I will come to your home for a complimentary meet-and-greet with you and your new four-legged arrival? For humane dog training in the greater Las Vegas Valley please call me. My name is Dennis Danskin. I am found on the web at trainhumane.net. Give me a call today at (702) 327-4744.

Hey, Who Is in Charge Here?

Simple question…does your dog respect you NOT fear you?  Your dog can show you all the love in the world and yet still not respect you as the leader of the pack.  Does he/she chew up your clothes or furniture?  Does he/she jump on you in excitement when you get home?  Does he/she seem to ignore any command you give?

Whenever your four-legged child treats you as an equal, it simply means that you’re not being the pack leader.  The truth is dogs don’t want to be equal in the pack, and only a very few of them are born to want to be in charge.  The important thing is to build a healthy respect in the most humane way possible.

That is one of the primary reasons why I do all of my dog training in the natural surroundings of your home.  We (you and I) get the best results by doing it this way.  For decades I have been one of Las Vegas’ most successful dog trainers.  My name is Dennis Danskin.  Call me for an in-home complimentary visit at (702) 327-4744.

An Untrained Dog is NOT the Canine’s Fault.

Then it is on you my friends.  We want every canine in The Valley to find a home and a new best friend, but it is not about adopting them and expecting everything to go the way you dreamed from that point on.  Have you adopted and now you have a concern about your dog’s behavior?  Is your dog aggressive with people or other dogs?

Here are some other behavioral anomalies –

1.  Your new four-legged friend barks incessantly.
2.  Does it have separation anxiety?
3.  Has it ever bitten anyone?
4.  Do walks become battles of will between you and your new buddy?

These behavioral traits (among others) are something that can be trained with the proper hand.  Enter in-home humane dog trainer Dennis Danskin.  Dennis is human miracle who will come to your Las Vegas area home after a complimentary visit to do the work HE is “trained” to do.  Fifty years of this stuff must have worked!  Call Dennis Danskin today at (702) 327-4744.

Stop and Think Before Making Some of These Mistakes.

Don’t feel bad…it's not uncommon for people to make a few mistakes immediately after adopting a dog.  It's easy to get caught up in the excitement of having a new best friend in the house and start to expect too much of your dog, or realize that you have no idea what you're doing, and feel a bit overwhelmed as a result.

Here are some common mistakes –

1.  Trying to do too much too soon.  Give them a moment to adjust.
2.  Don’t be running around with them doing errands.
3.  Take time to bond…this is a very common mistake.
4.  Don’t ignore bad behavior from the get-go.
5.  Don’t expect perfection on the very first day.

Then exhale and call Dennis Danskin.  If you think you have just adopted a “best friend” he may quickly become your second besty!  Dennis is a well-known and highly respected dog trainer who has blessed the Las Vegas Valley for decades with his humane in-home style.  See for yourself with a complimentary visit by calling him at (702) 327-4744.

Sit…Stay…Heel.

These are familiar commands when someone is talking to their dog, but do they address the issues that are at the root of most problems between man (and woman) and their best friend?  The most important thing that needs to be addressed in your canine’s new home is simply this…behavior.  What are some of those challenges?

Here are just some of the common behavior problems every dog owner must face –

1.  Barking…you may like it but ask around the neighborhood.
2.  Begging for food…you either give in or you feel guilty somehow.
3.  Digging holes…do you want your backyard to look like a mine field?
4.  Pulling at their leash…every dog wants to lead the pack at first.
5.  Separation anxiety…this can lead to some very destructive behavior.

These behavioral issues and many more are addressed from the get-go when you contact noted humane dog trainer Dennis Danskin.  Dennis wants to work within your home where the problems (and solutions) will occur.  Contact Las Vegas dog trainer Dennis Danskin immediately and get on the right track at (702) 327-4744. When Dennis whispers dogs listen!

Rescue Me.

With apologies to the late Fontella Bass (look her up if you have no idea what I am talking about) rescue me refers to adopting a new best friend from a Las Vegas area shelter.  Look, if you are bound and determined to have a pure bred and want to pay a great deal of money at an area pet shop that’s your business.

Here are just a few reasons why to adopt rather than purchase –

1.  You just saved a life.
2.  You contribute to reducing pet overpopulation.
3.  The shelter employees and volunteers become a resource for life.
4.  The selection is greater.
5.  They have probably been treated with more TLC in recent times.

There is a potential downside.  You inherit all of the bad habits that your new dog has accumulated over time.  To solve that last dilemma, please call me.  I am Las Vegas humane dog trainer, Dennis Danskin.  Go ahead, research my philosophy at tranehumane.net then call me for a complimentary in-home visit at (702) 327-4744.

Home Sweet Home.

There is a good reason for that phrase especially as it pertains to puppies.  You have a lot of choices when it comes to training these days, including private in-home training, private training at a facility, group classes, and even online courses.  What we are all looking for of course is the finished product…a beautiful new addition to your family!

There are certainly a lot of reasons why training at home is a good option.  For starters, the schedule is much more flexible, allowing you to work around your personal life.  Aside from scheduling, at-home training is usually tailored to fit your specific training goals, rather than the generalized curriculum of a group class.

Once you meet nationally known Las Vegas humane dog trainer Dennis Danskin you will instantly know that you have made the right choice to train your new four-legged child in the comfortable surroundings of your own home.  Call Dennis today and arrange an initial complimentary in-home visit at (702) 327-4744.

Think Carefully Before You Adopt for Someone Else.

Have you given or are about to give a dog as a gift?  While pets offer unconditional love and irreplaceable devotion, you should think long and hard before presenting a pet as a surprise present.  Generally, most animal experts and shelters advise against adopting a dog to give as a surprise gift to someone else.  However, if you’ve discussed this with the future pet owner, it can be a great addition to your 2020 home.

Here are some things you might want to consider before giving a dog as a gift –

1.  Don’t buy from a pet shop.
2.  Do not act on impulse.
3.  Visit the animal shelter(s) several times.
4.  Take your recipient to the shelter with you.
5.  The new family addition is NOT just another consumer item.

All of this comes with this understanding…a well-trained best friend is always better than an adversarial one.  For that expert and life-long behavioral training the right person for the job is always Las Vegas professional dog trainer Dennis Danskin.  Dennis will be your family’s second-best friend.  Call him for a complimentary in-home visit at (702) 327-4744.

The Partnership Between Humans and Dogs.

This bond likely began over 14,000 years ago and was likely originally based on a human need for help with herding and hunting, for an early alarm system, and for a source of food in addition to the companionship many of us today know and love.  What’s in it for the dog?  Well, in return, they received companionship, protection, shelter, and a reliable food source.

The earliest confirmed domestic dog anywhere thus far is from a burial site in Germany called Bonn-Oberkassel which has joint human and dog interments dated to 14,000 years ago.  Experts now agree that most of the dog breeds we see today are recent developments.  However, the amazing variation in dogs is a relic of their ancient and varied domestication processes.

One thing we can all agree on is that we are very fortunate to have one of America’s best dog trainers right here in Las Vegas.  He is Dennis Danskin.  With all due respect to Cesar Millan…when he whispers dogs listen!  If the holidays bring a new four legged resident call Dennis at (702) 327-4744 and get your extended family off on the right foot.

A Plan for Man (Women and children too!) this Holiday Season.

Children are in your household and they are asking that magical question this time of year…when are we going to get a puppy?  Just remember during this euphoric time of year that raising a puppy when you work full time is a difficult task. It involves planning ahead, great routines and some outside help.

Puppies spend a great deal of time playing, chewing and investigating objects throughout your home.  All of these normal activities involve puppies using their mouths and their needle-sharp teeth.  When puppies play with people, they often nibble, chew and mouth on people’s hands, limbs and clothing.  That may be cute for a minute, but that’s all!

Bring Las Vegas puppy trainer Dennis Danskin into the picture.  All you have to do is pick out the perfect best friend for your family, then call him for a complimentary in-home visit.  Dennis has been training puppies and adult dogs for decades so that the behavior you seek is the behavior you will get.  Call Dennis.  You will be amazed at his prowess (702) 327-4744.
