Eliminating Territorial Aggression.

We all protect our ground as mammals at the top of the food chain.  When your dog exhibits territorial aggression toward people and other animals you may find it to be unacceptable.  Generally speaking, people and other animals that are unusual and less familiar to your best friend, are the most likely to trigger aggressive behavior.

While most forms of territorial aggression are likely to occur on your property, some dogs may protect the areas where they are temporarily housed, and they may even protect family members regardless of the location.  On the surface it is comforting unless and until they display violent behavior toward people you have welcomed into your “territory”.

This is the point at which aggressive behavior must be contained or you may actually lose your best friend!  Curbing that aggression is just a phone call away with Las Vegas professional dog trainer and behaviorist Dennis Danskin.  Dennis may very well become your second-best friend.  He’ll make a complimentary visit to your home by calling (702) 327-4744.

Think Like a Dog.

Strange advice unless you intend to have that four-legged best friend live with you in harmony for the next 15 years.  Did you ever think that dog mistakes are really human mistakes?  Many dog owners make mistakes because they read something somewhere, or this is what seemed to work for the family dog when they were kids.

Here are some dog training pitfalls you need to avoid –

1.  Calling them nicely, then punishing them when they come
2.  Sticking your dog’s nose in its own mess
3.  Thinking your dog will just “grow out of it”
4.  Using pain in the process of training
5.  Taking your dog back inside immediately after he eliminates

That last one surprises some people, but the logic is that your best friend thinks his time outside is over the second he goes.  Treating your four-legged child with love and respect is not that hard especially when you call on the services of Las Vegas humane trainer Dennis Danskin.  Dennis will show you just what to do…in your own home!  Call him today at (702) 327-4744.
