What if your Home was one Big Toilet?

That sounds harsh doesn’t it?  But to your new puppy that you are introducing to your home this summer that is pretty much what it is.  How is that new pup supposed to know where to go potty?  It is important to show them what pleases (and displeases) you in a calm and supportive manner to achieve the greatest success.

For example, many dogs trained to toilet on pads never quite get the idea of relieving themselves outside and become unreliable for the rest of their lives.  By teaching them to toilet on pads you are saying it is okay to go inside the house and there are dogs that don't even get the idea that they need to use the pads so continue to toilet all over the house…pads or no pads.

The idea is to achieve the desired result as smoothly and quickly as possible without a lot of mess and destruction of furniture.  Don’t blame your dog!  He does not know better.  Call on the services of professional dog trainer, Dennis Danskin.  He has been helping to toilet train your four-legged kids for decades in the Las Vegas area.  Call him today at (702) 327-4744.

Why I Don’t Believe in Clicker Training.

If you Google dog training, you are likely to see some well-meaning dog trainer using that annoying clicker.  Those who believe in clicker training are likely to believe in something called operant conditioning.  It goes back 80 years to B.F. Skinner and is based on rewards and punishments for a particular behavior.

I believe that –

1.  You must acknowledge love, joy, and sadness…they are not machines.
2.  We are not all simply controlled by our environment.
3.  Dogs are not just animals who respond only to yelling, poking, and prodding.
4.  Operant conditioning is cruel and ineffective.

You want a four-legged companion who loves to please you…NOT being terrified if he or she does not!  That is my goal.  I am Las Vegas dog trainer Dennis Danskin.  When you call me for a complimentary in-home visit, I will begin the bonding process that will turn your wild child into a valued member of your family.  Call me anytime at (702) 327-4744.
