Fear of the Unknown.

Every human suffers from it periodically. Just think how your newly adopted dog feels when you bring it home from the shelter. So many new sights and sounds…Who are you? What is that? Where do I go? When is dinner? Is that where you want me to sleep? Maybe even…who is this new canine that I have never seen before…does it belong here too?

Here are a few initial tips –

1.  Provide a quiet place for your dog to lie down.

2.  Give it a toy of appropriate size to hold in its mouth.

3.  Show it where to eliminate.

4.  Better yet, show him/her where NOT to eliminate.

Now…do you want the next decade to be as fulfilling as possible with your best friend? You can begin by calling Las Vegas dog trainer, Dennis Danskin. He will come to your home and help you and your four-legged child forge a bond that will last for the rest of its life. Please take a peak at trainhumane.net then call Dennis for a complimentary visit at (702) 327-4744.

Kurtis and Ciera Know What They are Talking About.

When two young people live together and decide to add a four-legged child to the mix everything in the household changes. Now, they have to train, discipline, and learn to live with a new best friend. If that decision is to adopt a puppy under six months old, then the task of integrating your new dog into the family is even more daunting!

Their canine named Kodi is called by the couple “the most well behaved four-month old puppy ever seen!” Starting training early was a great advantage in their home environment which helped them create a wonderful companion. They believe that without the guidance of Las Vegas dog trainer Dennis Danskin this would never have happened.

Dennis Danskin has a passion for canines of all types who live in the Las Vegas Valley. See Kurtis and Ciera’s story among many others by visiting trainhumane.net. The Rain in Spain Falls Mainly on the Plains.

Are you familiar with that famous line from the play and movie My Fair Lady? It was uttered to demonstrate that behavior is often taught, not necessarily inherited. Teaching correct, acceptable behavior from your new four-legged addition to your home is essential for peace of mind and tranquility in the future.

The truth is, you do not have to catch your dog in the act of misbehaving! So many owners (and even trainers) believe that we should come down hard on our pooch at that precise moment. I will show you how to take undesirable behavior and then correct it so that your canine does not see themselves as “being punished”

What a difference between constant strife and peace of mind! It will put you and your beautiful dog on the right course to a kinder and gentler life together. Let us begin the process together. If you have recently brought a new addition into your household please call me. My name is Dennis Danskin, Las Vegas Valley dog trainer. Visit my website at trainhumane.net then call me for a complimentary in-home get together at (702) 327-4744.

Dog Training…Humane or Alpha Dog.

Think of it in terms of child rearing. Many parents raise their children through intimidation…especially in the past. How does that work out? Well, in many cases a young person has been raised in an atmosphere of fear and may well display those traits in later life when dealing with other people.

Here is my truth from five plus decades of experience in the Las Vegas area. Dogs learn good behavior by being praised for doing well. And punishment does NOT have to come in the form of a harsh reprimand or physical force! I guess there are different opinions, but that has been tried and true for me over the years.

Here is a suggestion. Why not give me a call and I will come to your home for a complimentary meet-and-greet with you and your new four-legged arrival? For humane dog training in the greater Las Vegas Valley please call me. My name is Dennis Danskin. I am found on the web at trainhumane.net. Give me a call today at (702) 327-4744.

Two for One.

If you think it is challenging training one new puppy in your household…try two! In general, it probably is difficult at best adopting two puppies at once. Sometimes it just works out that way and you need to look at it as “double the fun.” Both can be trained and socialized to be amazing family pets and companions.

Here are a few plusses –

  1. Two puppies might well bond to each other.
  2. If they were separated suddenly, they would be much more stressed.
  3. Let them train at their own particular pace…just like human siblings.

If you want to have peace of mind for the next decade plus call Dennis Danskin right away. Why Dennis? Well, he is one of Las Vegas’ most prominent dog trainers. Dennis will come to your home on a complimentary visit and set the stage for training your two new amazing additions. Call Dennis Danskin if you live in the Las Vegas area at (702) 327-4744.

Positive Discipline…Not Punishment.

Parents of human children have come to understand this mantra in recent times. Unfortunately, many canine owners have not learned this simple fact just yet. Scolding and punishing your puppy leads to hurt feelings, anxiety, and lack of trust. This can be the absolute worst when it comes to your furry best friend, just because of a little bad behavior.

Of course, if your puppy is clearly doing something he should not be doing or you do not want them to do especially during training, you can’t exactly just let him keep doing it. After all, we are still talking about disciplining your four-legged child, just in a more positive way. Let us accentuate the positive…and in the confines of your environment.

That is where I come in. My name is Dennis Danskin the noted humane dog trainer who comes to YOUR Las Vegas area home and transforms your new addition into a loving, viable member of your entire family. Please find me on the internet at trainhumane.net then let’s get together for a complimentary in-home visit. Just call me at (702) 327-4744.

It May be Time to Adopt.

Now that things are settling in again you may have decided to adopt your first dog from one the Las Vegas’ shelters.  Because of the chaos we have lived through, there are PLENTY of choices!  The excitement and joy of bringing home a best friend is like no other.  Since it may be a 15-year commitment I want to help you to choose carefully.

Here are some reasons to adopt –

1.  You just may have saved a life…almost 700,000 dogs per year are euthanized in shelters.
2.  Adoption simply costs less money.
3.  You contribute to lowering the population of homeless canines.

What’s next?  Well, if you are about to bring home a four-legged family member please remember that it comes with pre-ordained habits (many of which may not be acceptable to you and your family).  My name is Dennis Danskin.  I will humanely train your new addition and make them a great new member of your Las Vegas area family.  Please call me for a complimentary in-home visit at (702) 327-4744.
