Be it Ever so Humble…

So, you’ve made that important decision to add a canine to your family unit this summer.  One of the first things to consider before temperatures soar is training it properly.  You have a lot of choices when it comes to training these days, including private in-home training, private training at a facility, group classes, and even online courses.

Why in-home training? Here are some reasons –

1.  The schedule is much more flexible.
2.  It is tailored to fit YOUR family’s specific needs.
3.  More time can be spent on certain commands if necessary.
4.  You can begin almost immediately.

Las Vegas humane dog trainer Dennis Danskin believes in the concept of in-home canine training…always has.  It is effective, calming, and, because he is who he is, reasonably priced.  You made a decade + commitment when you adopted your new best friend now take the next logical step and properly train them by calling Dennis Danskin at (702) 327-4744.

Hey, Who Is in Charge Here?

Simple question…does your dog respect you NOT fear you?  Your dog can show you all the love in the world and yet still not respect you as the leader of the pack.  Does he/she chew up your clothes or furniture?  Does he/she jump on you in excitement when you get home?  Does he/she seem to ignore any command you give?

Whenever your four-legged child treats you as an equal, it simply means that you’re not being the pack leader.  The truth is dogs don’t want to be equal in the pack, and only a very few of them are born to want to be in charge.  The important thing is to build a healthy respect in the most humane way possible.

That is one of the primary reasons why I do all of my dog training in the natural surroundings of your home.  We (you and I) get the best results by doing it this way.  For decades I have been one of Las Vegas’ most successful dog trainers.  My name is Dennis Danskin.  Call me for an in-home complimentary visit at (702) 327-4744.

Wait a Moment…Is this the Horse and Buggy Era?

Back in a day, humans who trained canines used what I refer to as “negative reinforcement.”  Think of it this way, if your human child misbehaved the punishment used to be a spanking and being sent to one’s room without dinner.  Modern child psychologists have come to realize that this method is simply outdated!

So why would any so-called dog trainer use choke chains, shock collars, and clickers (among other torture devices) to make their best friend behave?  Remember, the operative words here are “best friend.”  My mantra is HUMANE employing patience, confidence, compassion, consistency, and (above all) understanding.

Some may chuckle, but it has put me in good stead with generations of dogs and their owners for over 50 years.  I will continue to train humane for as long as I am privileged to do so.  My name is Dennis Danskin.  For humane dog training anywhere in the Las Vegas Valley please give me a call for a complimentary in-home visit at (702) 327-4744.

Pee Yew…Not Again!

Patience, patience, patience…house training your puppy is about consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement.  The goal is to instill good habits and build a loving bond with your pet.  You may begin house training your puppy when he is between 12 weeks and 16 weeks old.  At that point, he has enough control of his bladder and bowel movements to learn to hold it.

Here are some tips –

1.  Keep your puppy on a regular feeding schedule.
2.  Take her out first thing in the morning.
3.  Take your four-legged child to the same spot.
4.  Stay with him…at least until he is fully house-trained.
5.  Praise good behavior when eliminating.

This is only one of the many humane steps I will teach your new arrival along the way.  All of them are important.  I am in-home dog trainer Dennis Danskin.  It has been my pleasure and joy to serve the Las Vegas Valley with humane dog training for many decades.  Please give me a call for a complimentary visit at your residence…on your time at (702) 327-4744.

When I Hear it…It’s Still Shocking.

Whether you have a puppy with a penchant for persistent barking, or you’d like to train your dog to stay in the yard, you may have actually considered a shock collar.  Let me say this emphatically…NO, NO, and NO.  No shock collars if you intend to train humane as I do.  I don’t believe in them, and here is why.

Here are some things we know –

1.  They provide fast results…if you were jabbed with a cattle prod the same would be true.
2.  Dogs learn fear…that’s no way to raise a child.
3.  They often deliver unintentional shocks.
4.  There is nothing positive about the reward.

Train humane.  I believe in it so strongly that I named my website trainhumane.net.  My name is Dennis Danskin.  Perhaps you have heard of me.  I have been training dogs in the Las Vegas Valley for decades.  Let’s start with a free visit in the comfort of your home and see where we go from there.  Just call me, Dennis Danskin at (702) 327-4744.

An Untrained Dog is NOT the Canine’s Fault.

Then it is on you my friends.  We want every canine in The Valley to find a home and a new best friend, but it is not about adopting them and expecting everything to go the way you dreamed from that point on.  Have you adopted and now you have a concern about your dog’s behavior?  Is your dog aggressive with people or other dogs?

Here are some other behavioral anomalies –

1.  Your new four-legged friend barks incessantly.
2.  Does it have separation anxiety?
3.  Has it ever bitten anyone?
4.  Do walks become battles of will between you and your new buddy?

These behavioral traits (among others) are something that can be trained with the proper hand.  Enter in-home humane dog trainer Dennis Danskin.  Dennis is human miracle who will come to your Las Vegas area home after a complimentary visit to do the work HE is “trained” to do.  Fifty years of this stuff must have worked!  Call Dennis Danskin today at (702) 327-4744.
