The Joy and Value of Getting a Puppy in the Summer.

So, the kids are home from school and having a puppy will give them a way to fill their days. They’ll train the dog and learn some lessons in responsibility along the way.  You’ll end up with a trained young dog and more responsible kids.  It doesn’t get any better than that.  And…it doesn’t always work that way!

Kids training puppies is a little like giving them the keys to the family car.  What could go wrong?  Start with this premise…puppies overheat quickly especially in Las Vegas’ searing late summer heat.  It’s best to keep your puppy inside as much as possible when it’s hot.  Do you think your kids will always respect that?

The next 12-15 years depends on the adult decisions that you make now.  A poorly trained puppy (or worse, one who has suffered from heat stroke) is not the end game.  The answer is renowned dog trainer Dennis Danskin.  There is something to be said for 5+ decades of experience.  Call Dennis for a complimentary in-home visit at (702) 327-4744.

Is Therapy Your Long-Term Goal?

Therapy dogs are different than service dogs and emotional support animals.  There’s nothing better than the feeling of helping other people.  Training your dog as a therapy dog is a wonderful way to give back to your community.  You get to bond with your best friend and others are allowed to experience that love and joy.

Typically, therapy dogs remain with their owners for life, so don’t worry about having to give up your best friend as is often the case with service dogs.  What is the make-up of a therapy dog?  Young, well-socialized, friendly dogs in good health are the best candidates to become therapy dogs.  Just begin with that premise.

Training your best friend, no matter what the long-term goals may be is my purview.  I am Las Vegas dog trainer Dennis Danskin.  Let’s talk about your hopes and dreams for the next 10-15 years.  I will come to your home at no charge without obligation and discuss your puppy’s initial training needs.  Check out my website at trainhumane.net then give me a call at (702) 327-4744.

Getting to Know Me.

If you are going to trust someone to train YOUR best friend to become a beloved member of your household then you should get to know them (me).  My name is Dennis Danskin.  I have spent nearly a half-century of my life understanding canines and training them in a humane manner that makes them great companions.

While my methods are positive reinforcement, here are some of my no’s –

1.  No…I won’t try to sell you merchandise.
2.  No…I am not a part of some national chain.
3.  No…there will not be kennel training.
4.  No…shock collars will ever be used.
5.  No…neither will “choke chains”.
6.  No…treats. I will train them, not fatten them up.

That should add up to YES meaning that you can trust me to make your four-legged child a valued part of your household for the next 10-15 years!  I believe in humane training.  See for yourself by visiting my website at trainhumane.net.  Next, give me a call for a complimentary in-home visit at (702) 327-4744.
