It is a complicated question. Depending on whom you ask you may get a
different response. You could start with
one basic premise. Two females are often
(but not always) a bad mix. Believe it
or not, two females will tend to fight viciously with each other even more than
two males. Now there’s a hierarchy with
which humans may not be familiar!
Adding a new puppy to the household with a dog that may have
established its territory for a decade or more can be tricky. Here are some steps you can take immediately –
1. Put away the older
dog’s chew toys
2. Have places in
your home where the two can get away from each other for a minute
3. Have separate food
dishes
4. Make sure that all
of your furry friends are up-to-date with their shots
